1) Whereas in Australia we have both “New England” and “New South wales.”

2) Whereas in Australia we have the Land of the Queen or “Queensland”, and we have the state of Victoria as well.

3) Whereas the ancestors of the Caucasian race came ultimately from India.

4) Whereas the English language originates from Sanskrit.

5) Whereas the Australian climatic conditions are extremely favorable for the pursuit of self-realization, the real purpose of the human form of life,  just like they are favourable in India or “Bharata” itself.

6) Whereas His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, The Founder-Acarya of the International Hare Krishna Movement wrote the last day of December 1975 the following letter:

My Dear Madhudvisa Maharaja,

Please accept my blessings. Thank you for your nice invitation card. Thousands of Caitanya Mahaprabhu temples may be established all over Australia so that I may receive one invitation card at least every month. Physical health does not allow me to move very much, but my mind is absorbed in thinking of you with blessings of Krishna.

I hope this letter finds you well.

Because Australia it is a great, God- Krishna, Allah, Jehovah or Buddha –  blessed country-island, with a great and prestigious future.

I propose herewith to rename AUSTRALIA
