Besides the regal Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Parivracakacarya Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Tridandi Goswami Srila Prabhupada we find here His Grace Allen Ginsberg not to be confused with Hayagriva Prabhu.
IN BGAII 2.18 P. we find the typical smart ass, whimsical, artificial, and kick-in-the-face-of-Srila-Prabhupada fake alteration.
“What do you mean Prabhupada, this cant be right. There is no way we will let you use the word “immaterial.” People will think “immaterial” and “material world” are one and the same You are just an old Indian gentleman, with a disused and outmoded knowledge of the great ,whimsical (ironical) English language. But we are the big U ASS YAY university scholar and whether correct or not, the world will have to surrender to our personal view in this matter. So your “immaterial” is definitely out and my most common “unimportant” is in. Like it or leave. Actually best is if you go back to India. And we shall repackage the whole Bhagavad Gita to our U ASS YAY requirements. All glories to USA, we know everything better. And whoever opposes us we shall shoot inffallibly because this is the land of “the brave gun.” Hayagriva uvaca.
Apologies for the anti US rant, but this is how I felt many times while in coming in contact with anything USA. For example when I got in touch with BTG magazine, I was naturally treated as an incoming enemy a priory and in principle. Neither do USA presidents acknowledge receipt of courtesy Bhagavad Gitas when we send them. Former Australia Premier Scott Morrison did so, when he was leading the country. And he did send a very nicely worded letter of acknowledgement. Above all he wrote: “…a book is the most personal kind of gift we can offer … ” A personal gift for a personal Prime Minister. Let us not forget the meaning of the second pranam mantra to Srila Prabhupada and we might as well quote the first one too:

In the original transcript Srila Prabhupāda writes verbatim:
“Body is therefore immaterial and thus Arjuna was advised to fight without consideration of the material body and sacrificing the cause of religion.”
Granted the last part of the sentence is a little ambivalent and therefore requires interpretation. Consequently Hayagriva interprets it in one way and Jayadvaita in a second, different, way.The question then is: Who is right and who I wrong. Can the two be right? NO! When writing this sentence Srila Prabhupāda had something specific in mind and one thing only and he expressed it in the Prabhupada way. its up to us to understand properly.
uneAnd what that is we have to find out.
But let us go back to the “smart-ass, whimsical and kick-in-the-face-of-Srila-Prabhupada fake alteration.
Without hesitation smart ass Hayagriva jumps and replaces Srila Prabhupada’s more elegant “immaterial” with the common “unimportant” thus misrepresenting Srila Prabhupada and lowering the literary quality of the whole presentation. And puppy Jayadvaita just follows on this point only. Later he wakes up. Besides that dictionary will give “unimportant” for “immaterial”. So the meanings are the same. But Srila Prabhupada “immaterial” is just more elegant English. So if the meanings are the same and if one formulation is more elegant than the other. Then we know who to choose : Srila Prabhupāda Therefore there is no reason to replace it and there are all reasons to keep it. Gentleman editors Srila Prabhupāda just reflects your foolishness and is much smarted that you give Him credit for. In these ways these unqualified editors are constantly lowering the literary value of Srila Prabhupada
Parenthesis: In this hospital- the Princess Alexandra Hospital- one really feels like in the spiritual world cause the requirements of life are deferentially supplied, just say the word. All glories to the denizens of the Princess Alexandra Hospital and all glories to Princess Alexandra Herself.
