Australia’s official “religion” is Courtesy and Respect to one another. Others will say: Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. That’s truly a wonderful religion and we, as members of the Hare Krishna Movement, we fully adhere to this religion as well.
And we may say that Queensland excels in this matter because up to 1990, the Queensland Police Force itself adhered to the motto “Firmness with courtesy” That is truly a wonderful logo. The current motto is “With honour we serve”. I can hear some voices of dissent in the back, but that’s ok. π May be we should consider an interstate courtesy competition, to find out which really is the most courteous state.
I recently spend some time (100 days plus) in hospital (PAH) and I was absolutely flabbergasted at the courtesy, enthusiam, eagerness to help and efficient care of the staff, both nursing staff and doctors, as well as others. One doctor accepted BHAGAVAD GITA AS It Is NOT by Hayagriva. Their emphatic and attentive care alone is therapeutic. I should not say this but I shall be happy to go back anytime. And for holders of Medicare Card the treatment is free of charge. We, servants of the Supreme PersonalIty off Godhead, have somethings to learn here. I intend to send them a big-thank-you-Cake from GOVINDA’S. If you ask me what my disease was, I shall simply reply that I was following in the footsteps of Sri Arjuna in The Challenge Bhagavad As It Is, end of chapter one and beginning of chapter two.
