BGAII 18.01. AS PROVEN BELOW, Hayagriva and Jayadvaita are uneducated and boorish individuals and will train you in exactly the same style and manner. Is that what you really want? I am assuming not. AN EXCELLENT AND SUFFICIENT REASON TO REJECT BOTH OF THEM AT ONCE along with their BHAGAVAD GITA AS THEY ARE NOT ! They have no knowledge of and respect for proper etiquette whatsoever, especially in respect to The Supreme Personality of Godhead, and His representative, Srila Prabhupada, which is the worst of all situations. In Srila Prabhupada own words in BGAII 6.47, purport:”THEY ARE THOROUGHLY CONDEMNED.” In that context, we must also mention the unfathomable insult to Srila Prabhupada in refusing almost fanatically to write all pronoun and other things related to Him with a capital letter, Dravida of ISKCON San Diego, being the head opponent, at least he was when I was corresponding with him, some years back. What a boor, hopelessly entangled in his own mind on this particular point!!! And to force everyone else to do commit the same offense. The resultant bad karma is multiplied by thousands. The resultant bad karma is multiplied by hundreds of thousand, may be by millions. What misleading and cheating! What absolute madness!

BGAII 18.01 by Srila Pabhupada, so version 3 of BGAII 18.01:

“Arjuna said: O mighty-armed One, I wish to understand the purpose of renunciation and of the renounced order of life, O Killer of the Kesi demon, Master of the senses.” 

Jayadvaita:

“Arjuna said: O mighty-armed one, I wish to understand the purpose of renunciation [tyaga] and of the renounced order of life [sannyasa], O killer of the Kesi demon, master of the senses.”

Hayagriva:

“Arjuna said, O mighty-armed one, I wish to understand the purpose of renunciation [tyaga] and of the renounced order of life [sannyasa], O killer of the Kesi demon, Hrshikesha.

There is not much difference between both editors’ rendition. Both treat the readers with great condescendence by not crediting them with the intelligence to understand by themselves that the Sanskrit word “tyaga” means renunciation and that the Sanskrit word “sannyasa” also means renunciation or the fourth stage of life or sannyasi.

The wise Srila Prabhupada totally refrains from such offensive behaviour towards His readers and followers. But fools rush where angels not dare to tread.

An insight into the minds of both editors: “But hey, we have just recently become the new Sanskrit experts in a process which usually takes ten years. So just see how smart we are and you are nothing but Sanskrit ignoramuses, so you better learn from us, if you want to understand anything at all about spiritual life. And after all, we have to say something from time to time, it does not really matter what, even the most foolish and offensive nonsense is all right, it’s just that people have to be reminded that we are standing by here and don’t perceive us as completely useless.”

So offensiveness is the leitmotif here. Offensive to the readers as I have just explained and offensive to Guru, Srila Prabhupada, for trying to correct Him and step over His head.

But thats not all. There is MUCH, MUCH BIGGER TO COME.

Srila Prabhupada, being the World Acharya knows perfectly well how to properly honour the Supreme Personality of Godhead in a literary way and carefully puts a capital to the three words related to Him or addressing Him, such as One, Killer and and Master. This is just beyond the understanding and grasp of the two editors, who dont care at all about these three capitals.

Srila Prabhupada strictly observes proper etiquette, whereas both editors don’t, as mad as elephants in a glass house. It ought to be careful noted that this is not a casual affairs or a mates’ gathering. This is even much more important than a meeting at the White House or at the Kremlin for that matter or the Chinese equivalent. Both editors bluntly and boorishly disrespect The Supreme Personality of Godhead. There will. be reactions for such neglect.

Here is what Srila Prabhupada says on this subject matter in BGAII 6.47, purport, version 3:

“The word Bhajate is significant here. Bhajate has its root in the verb Bhaj, which is used when there is need for service. The English word worship cannot be used in the same sense as bhaja. Worship means to adore, or to sow respect and honor to the worthy one. But service with love and faith is especially meant for the Supreme Personality of Godhead. One can avoid worshiping a respectable man or a demigod, and be called discourteous—but one cannot avoid serving the Supreme Lord without being thoroughly condemned. Every living entity is part and parcel of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and as such every living entity is meant to serve the Supreme Lord by its own constitution. Failing to do this, he falls down.”

These two individuals ARE THOROUGHLY CONDEMNED for failing to show proper respect to The Supreme Personality of Godhead on this occasion of their literary productions and many other occasions as well throughout the Bhagavad Gita As It Is, and those who choose to adhere to their versions of Bhagavad Gita and become their followers, will experience the same sordid fate.
