Maharaja says for example:
“We have the most complete philosophy, and Srila Prabhupada has given us the wonderful process of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Part of that process is taking care of the devotees. Actually, Krishna says that He has nothing else to do but to take care of His devotees. And since His devotees are always thinking about Him, He is also always thinking about His devotees. So actually, devotee care is one of the primary angas or aspects of Krishna consciousness.
However, I heard that there was a study by some outsiders where they said that of all the schools, ISKCON has the best philosophy, but when they talk about taking care of devotees, then ISKCON is way down the list. So serving the devotees and taking care of the devotees should be a part of our religion, and we should be doing that as daily work instead of feeling it is something that should be forced.”
Here is the transcription of Paramahamsa Vishwananda enlightened and enlightening words:
“You can say prema sagai you know, which means love is the most important thing in life.
If your life is without love, your life is boring, to the extend that if you don’t realise love, your life is useless! That’s how important love is. But you have to get to know what love really is, you know. That is a life’s journey. Without really knowing what is love your life is useless. That is what our mind has to listen to. When our mind turns to the feet of the Lord, when our mind turns to the feet of God, that which awakens within our heart, we call it love.”
Then very humbly, gently and sweetly Paramahamsa Vishwananda pleads with the audience:
“So please it is posssible to say Prema Sagai?
That love relationship, not just a superficial love but the true love in the relationship……..”
LYRICS by Sant Surdas LYRICS: Sabse Ūnchī, Prema Sagāī 1) Duryodhana Ko Mevā Tyāgo Sāga Vidura Ghara Pāī 2) Jūthe Phala Sabarī Ke Khāye Bahu Vidhi Prema Lagāī 3) Prema Ke Bas Nripa Sevā Kīnhī Āp Bane Hari Nāī 4) Rājasuya Yajna Yudhishthira Kīno Tāmai Jūtha Uthāī 5) Prema Ke Basa Arjuna Ratha Hānkhyo Bhūla Gaye Thakurāī 6) Aisi Prīti Badhī Vrindāvana Gopīna Nācha Nachāī 7) Sūra Krūra Is Lāyaka Nāhī Kaha Lag Karau Badāī
TRANSLATION: Of all forms of worship of the Lord, love is the highest. 1) Lord Krishna renounced the delicacies that Duryodhana offered, and ate vegetables at Vidura’s house. 2) As Lord Ramacandra, He ate fruits which were already filled with love from Sabari. 3) Love is indeed the best way to serve and please the Lord. 4) In Maharaja Yuddhistira’s Rajasuya Yajna sacrifice, Lord Krishna served the brahmanas and picked up their eating plates. 5) Out of pure love for Arjuna, He took the position of being his charioteer, and He forgot that He was the Lord. 6) Such love did Lord Krishna portray in Vrindavana when He danced with the gopis in the Rasa Lila. 7) Sura Dasa asks, “In what way could I worship the merciful and magnanimous Lord?”
We can see that Parahamsa Vishwananda talks about Krishna Prema or true love, the purest form of love and ultimate goal of the endeavouring transcendentalists. He does not quote Shastra but speaks from a realised point of view. That is a tribute to his advancement on the path of Krishna Prema. It could be called the (successful in this case) experimental or upward approach as opposed to accepting and following authority or the downward approach. I think there are technical designations for that.
“Srimad-Bhagavatam is recognized Vedic wisdom, and the system of receiving Vedic knowledge is called avaroha-pantha, or the process of receiving transcendental knowledge through a bona fide disciplic succession.”

pancama purusartha sei prema-mahadhana
krsnera madhurya-rasa karaya asvadana
WORD FOR WORD TRANSLATION
pancama — fifth; purusa-artha — goal of life; sei — that; prema — love of God; maha-dhana — foremost wealth; krsnera — of Lord Krsna; madhurya — conjugal love; rasa — mellow; karaya — causes; asvadana — taste.
TRANSLATION
“Love of Godhead is so exalted that it is considered to be the fifth goal of human life. By awakening one’s love of Godhead, one can attain the platform of conjugal love, tasting it even during the present span of life.
PURPORT
The Mayavadi philosophers consider the highest goal of perfection to be liberation (mukti), which is the fourth perfectional platform. Generally people are aware of four principal goals of life — religiosity (dharma), economic development (artha), sense gratification (kama) and ultimately liberation (moksa) — but devotional service is situated on the platform above liberation. In other words, when one is actually liberated (mukta) he can understand the meaning of love of Godhead (krsna-prema). While teaching Rupa Gosvami, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu stated, koti-mukta-madhye ‘durlabha’ eka krsna-bhakta: “Out of millions of liberated persons, one may become a devotee of Lord Krsna.”
The most elevated Mayavadi philosopher can rise to the platform of liberation, but krsna-bhakti, devotional service to Krsna, is transcendental to such liberation. Srila Vyasadeva explains this fact in Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.1.2):
dharmah projjhita-kaitavo ‘tra paramo nirmatsaranam satam
vedyam vastavam atra vastu siva-dam tapa-trayonmulanam
“Completely rejecting all religions which are materially motivated, the Bhagavata Purana propounds the highest truth, which is understandable by those devotees who are pure in heart. The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Such truth uproots the threefold miseries.” Srimad-Bhagavatam, the explanation of the Vedanta-sutra, is meant for paramo nirmatsaranam, those who are completely aloof from jealousy. Mayavadi philosophers are jealous of the existence of the Personality of Godhead. Therefore the Vedanta-sutra is not actually meant for them. They unnecessarily poke their noses into the Vedanta-sutra, but they have no ability to understand it because, as the author of the Vedanta-sutra writes in his commentary, Srimad-Bhagavatam, it is meant for those who are pure in heart (paramo nirmatsaranam [SB 1.1.2]). If one is envious of Krsna, how can he understand the Vedanta-sutra or Srimad-Bhagavatam? The Mayavadis’ primary occupation is to offend the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna. For example, although Krsna demands our surrender in the Bhagavad-gita, the greatest scholar and so-called philosopher in modern India has protested that it is “not to Krsna” that we have to surrender. Therefore, he is envious. Since Mayavadis of all different descriptions are envious of Krsna, they have no scope for understanding the meaning of the Vedanta-sutra. Even if they were on the liberated platform, as they falsely claim, love of Krsna is beyond the state of liberation — a fact stated by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and repeated here by Krsnadasa Kaviraja Gosvami.
and then we come to the limit of human live’s advancement

sravana-kirtana — hearing and chanting; ha-ite — from; krsne — unto Lord Krsna; haya — there is; prema — transcendental love; sei — that; pancama purusa-artha — the fifth platform of perfection of life; purusa-arthera sima — the limit of goals of life.
TRANSLATION
“When one comes to the platform of loving service to Lord Krsna by executing these nine processes, beginning with hearing and chanting, he has attained the fifth platform of success and the limit of life’s goals.
PURPORT
Everyone is after success in religion, economic development, sense gratification and ultimately merging into the existence of Brahman. These are the general practices of the common man, but according to the strict principles of the Vedas, the highest attainment is to rise to the platform of sravanam kirtanam [SB 7.5.23], hearing and chanting about the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is confirmed in Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.1.2):
dharmah projjhita-kaitavo ‘tra paramo nirmatsaranam satam
vedyam vastavam atra vastu siva-dam tapa-trayonmulanam
srimad-bhagavate maha-muni-krte kim va parair isvarah
sadyo hrdy avarudhyate ‘tra krtibhih susrusubhis tat-ksanat
“Completely rejecting all religious activities which are materially motivated, this Bhagavata Purana propounds the highest truth, which is understandable by those devotees who are fully pure in heart. The highest truth is reality distinguished from illusion for the welfare of all. Such truth uproots the threefold miseries. This beautiful Bhagavatam, compiled by the great sage Sri Vyasadeva, is sufficient in itself for God realization. What is the need of any other scripture? As soon as one attentively and submissively hears the message of Bhagavatam, by this culture of knowledge the Supreme Lord is established within his heart.” This verse of Srimad-Bhagavatam rejects as cheating processes all religious activities that aim at achieving materialistic goals, including dharma, artha, kama and even moksa, or liberation.
According to Sridhara Svami, the material conception of success (moksa, or liberation) is desired by those in material existence. Devotees, however, not being situated in material existence, have no desire for liberation.
A devotee is always liberated in all stages of life because he is always engaged in the nine items of devotional service (sravanam, kirtanam, etc.). Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s philosophy holds that devotional service to Krsna always exists in everyone’s heart. It simply has to be awakened by the process of sravanam kirtanam visnoh [SB 7.5.23]. Sravanadi suddha-citte karaye udaya (Cc. Madhya 22.107). When a person is actually engaged in devotional service, his eternal relationship with the Lord, the servant-master relationship, is awakened.

The Sridhara Swami, a great commentator on Srimad-Bhagavatam, he says, atra moksa, moksabhisandhy api nirastam: “Oh, the Srimad-Bhagavatam is above the idea of liberation.” So unless we come to that point, pancama purusartha, fifth dimension… The dharma, first; the artha, second; kama, third; moksa, fourth; and devotion is the fifth, fifth platform. Adhoksaja. Adhoksaja.
There are different stages of understanding: pratyaksa, paroksa, aparaksa, adhoksaja, aprakrta. The ordinary understanding, direct perception, is called pratyaksa. Now, higher than the pratyaksa understanding is paroksa, means to gather knowledge from the higher authorities. And above that, aparoksa, realization. And above that, adhoksaja. Adhoksaja means beyond the understanding of these material senses. And above that, there is aprakrta, completely transcendental. So the bhakti is on the transcendental platform, beyond the adhoksaja. Moksa means liberation. So Bhagavata says that dharma artha kama moksa, they are thrown away from the study of Srimad-Bhagavatam. And Sridhara Swami confirms it: atra moksa-vancah-paryantam nirastam. A devotee is above the point of liberation. The devotional service is called pancama-purusartha [Cc Adi 7.85]. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu has given His opinion: prema pumartho mahan. Not dharma is pumarthah. Our ultimate goal of life is neither dharma nor artha, religiosity, economic development; kama, sense gratification; and moksa, liberation.

Moksa means liberation. So Bhagavata says that dharma artha kama moksa, they are thrown away from the study of Srimad-Bhagavatam. And Sridhara Swami confirms it: atra moksa-vancah-paryantam nirastam. Therefore we have to develop our bhakti, love for Krsna. Prema pumartho mahan, Caitanya Mahaprabhu has advised. People are after dharma artha-kama moksa, but Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, “No, even if you become liberated, moksa, that is not the qualification to get favor of Krsna.” Prema pumartho mahan. Pancama-purusartha. People are trying to be very religious. That is good. Then economic. Dharma artha. Artha means economically very rich, opulent. Then kama, very expert in sense enjoyment. And then mukti. This is general demand. But Bhagavata says, “No, these things are not qualification.” Dharmah projjhita-kaitavo ‘tra [SB 1.1.2].
